Seeking Freelance UI/Web Designers
Pyramid is looking for freelance user interface/web designers who are passionate about creating intuitive websites and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, to support our team on an as-needed contract basis.
Ideal partners are knowledgeable about UX design processes and best practices, experienced in collaborating with UX strategists and developers, and skilled in creating wireframes and thinking through user journeys and interactions. We also expect design partners to be adept at taking and giving creative direction and feedback, and motivated in managing and leading their own work.
Our team does a wide range of projects – from redesigns, to smaller scale revisions or page build-outs – for a diverse, mission-driven client base. We hope to find flexible partners who are able to nimbly join and support projects at various stages.
Some of the skills and experience we’re looking for include:
- Web, UX, and/or UI design experience (agency and nonprofit client experience preferred)
- A strong aesthetic sense with knowledge of color, layout, typography, as well as user-interface design principles and standards
- Proficient in responsive and accessible design best practices
- Experience designing for WordPress sites
- Experience creating technical specs and web design style guides, and collaborating with developers
- Proven experience working in collaborative teams with UX strategists and developers
- Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to confidently and successfully present creative concepts and rationales to internal teams and clients
- High level of proficiency with Figma preferred
